Accessibility
What we have done to make this shop usable by everyone, and how to tell us where it falls short.

What we are aiming for
Stabalito aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard US courts and regulators generally point to when they talk about an accessible website, and it is the one we build and test against.
This is a small shop and this is a live document rather than a certificate. We are telling you what we have actually done and where we know we are short, instead of claiming to be finished.
What is in place
A skip link to the main content, so a keyboard user does not tab through the whole header on every page.
Header, navigation, main and footer landmarks on every page, so a screen reader can jump between them.
Every interactive control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring that we deliberately restored after the framework removed it.
Text and controls meeting the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for control outlines. We measured every colour pair in the palette rather than eyeballing it, and changed five colours that did not pass.
Photographs that are decorative or sit inside an already-labelled link carry an empty alt attribute so they are not announced twice; photographs that carry meaning are described.
Form fields have labels, and errors are written in plain language next to the field rather than only signalled by colour.
Animation is limited, and everything that moves respects the reduce-motion setting in your operating system.
Where we know we fall short
Some product photographs are described only by the colourway and the position in the set — for example "Navy, photo 2 of 5" — rather than by what is happening in the frame.
The Design Studio is a visual tool. You can reach and operate every control with a keyboard, and each part of the garment is labelled, but the result of your choices is a drawing, and we do not yet describe that drawing back to you in words.
We have not commissioned an independent audit. Everything above is our own testing.
Tell us where it breaks
If any part of this site stops you doing something — buying, reading, or getting an answer — email stabalito@stabalito.com and say what happened and what you were using. We read every message.
We aim to reply within five business days. If something is blocking a purchase, say so and we will complete the order with you directly by email in the meantime.
